Brakspear, Punch Pubs & Co, Stonegate Group, Craft Union Pub Company and Admiral Taverns have joined the Hero IPA fundraising drive, making the 4% ABV British IPA available in selected pubs across their estates. For every pint sold, proceeds will be directed to Help for Heroes to assist veterans, current personnel and their families. Hero IPA is brewed by Hogs Back Brewery using Cascade and Mosaic hops, developed with citrus and tropical notes and initially rolled out in cask and keg formats. The initiative follows the campaign's earlier success and expands Alf Turner’s long-standing partnership with Help for Heroes. Turner began working with the charity in 2009, and since then has raised more than £330,000 through sales linked to its products. Turner and Stonegate together raised £2,940 for Help for Heroes. In a previous nationwide rollout, Craft Union and Publican Partnerships pubs sold 588 casks, equating to over 41,000 pints. Nick Marks, Stonegate's commercial director, said the group is proud to back an important cause. A Brakspear spokesperson highlighted that pubs sit at the heart of communities and that enjoying a pint can help veterans and their families. Stephen Martin of Punch Pubs & Co added that pubs across the chain are being encouraged to participate. Source: The Morning Advertiser
