Travellers Inn marks 20 years in Ossett Brewery’s pub group
The Travellers Inn, a late 18th century pub in Hipperholme, is celebrating 20 years in Ossett Brewery’s pub group. The building needed substantial investment when Jamie Lawson acquired the freehold, after years with little spent; a national pub company had been selling due to concerns over structural integrity, with flood water even running through the pub during heavy rainfall. Lawson said that when they acquired the Travellers Inn in 2005 they knew it was a pub with a long history and a strong place within Hipperholme. Twenty years on, it's fantastic to see that history continuing and to celebrate this milestone with the team and customers, emphasising that pubs like the Travellers are an important part of what Ossett does and looking forward to the next chapter.
